We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Phone number — collected when you text us or sign up for an account, used to send order replies and reminder texts you've opted into.
• Email address — collected via the waitlist form or when you create an account, used to send sign-in links and service emails.
• Name — collected optionally via the waitlist form or during an SMS order.
• Recipient details — names, relationships, addresses, dates, budgets, and notes for the people you want us to remind you about. You provide these voluntarily through your account dashboard or during an SMS order.
• Conversation history — your SMS conversation with our agent is stored to maintain context across messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process and fulfill your card and flower orders
• To send you SMS reminders about upcoming dates you've saved (only if you've opted in)
• To send SMS messages related to your order
• To maintain your conversation history so you don't have to repeat yourself
• To send sign-in links and service emails
• To improve our service

3. SMS Messaging

By texting Date Honored, you consent to receive SMS messages from us. We do not send unsolicited marketing texts. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We will immediately stop texting you and record your opt-out in our system. Reply START to resubscribe.

We do not share your phone number or SMS conversation data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to fulfill your order:

• Florist partners — your recipient's name, address, and order details are shared with the florist fulfilling your order.
• Payment processors — payment information is handled by our payment provider and is not stored by Date Honored.
• Service providers — we use Twilio (SMS), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic (AI) to operate our service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your conversation history and order information for as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data by emailing us.

6. Your Choices

• Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP at any time.
• Request data deletion: Email datehonored@gmail.com.
• Access your data: Email us and we will provide what we have on file for your phone number or email.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "last updated" date.
